Price, Value and Trips!

Consumers wallets are squeezed, retailer costs are up, fuel margins are down and overall trips to convenience outlets are still suffering from pre-pandemic visit levels. This is not a new scenario to convenience operators, but one that requires marketing and operations tenacity to combat.

1. In-person programming: Retail Marketing & Foodservice Development

We will visit and interact with our peers ahead of the National Restaurant Association (NRA) Show in Chicago on May 15th and at Weigel’s in Knoxville, TN in September. We will have pertinent educational presentations, market tours, and plenty of networking time.

2. Virtual Check-in

We will hold a virtual check-in later in the year in November. This program will include a presentation and time for virtual interaction.

3. Informal Meet-ups

Based upon past attendees’ input, many of our members will be attending select industry events.

Session Overview

Packaging Exploration: Solving the needs of retailers and suppliers to better meet customer demand

Foodservice packaging needs for convenience are unique.  With ready to eat, ready to heat and ready to prepare items available for the consumer, packaging needs to support the hot and cold display of items and needs to ensure product quality and integrity is maintained for a superior consumer dining experience.

During this session, retailers will share their challenges and needs and our packaging supplier guests, InLine Plastics and Green Bay Packaging, will share insights and suggestions.  We will also discuss how to best collaborate, identifying steps that everyone can undertake to create better future solutions for convenience operators.

Megan Lynberg is SVP of Client Strategy and brand evangelist for Datassential, where she helps foodservice operators and manufacturers make smarter, data-driven decisions that drive growth. She leads client strategy for Datassential One, the company’s AI-driven food and beverage intelligence platform that helps brands innovate faster, predict more accurately, and lead with confidence.

A frequent industry speaker, Megan has presented at events on behalf of organizations including IFMA the Food Away from Home Industry, the Prosper Forum, and many more, and has brought her expertise directly to a number of brands across the U.S. and has even presented on a cruise ship in Alaska.

Prior to Datassential, she held sales and marketing roles with Nation’s Restaurant News, Hospitality Technology, and Black Box Intelligence. A proud University of Georgia graduate, she lives in Phoenix with her husband and two children.

Armed with data from their proprietary databases, Jonna and Carlos will share unprecedented insights and foster conversation relevant to all c-store operators with a desire to grow their perishables business.
