SIGMA NOMINATES NEW BOARD OF DIRECTOR MEMBERS

WASHINGTON, October 3, 2007 – The Society of Independent Gasoline Marketers of America (SIGMA) Nominating Committee officially offers this slate of Membership Nominations for SIGMA’s Board of Directors. Members nominated to serve three-year terms include: William “Graham” Baughman, President and CEO of Thorntons Inc., in Louisville, KY; Richard K. “Rick” Clark, Member/Manager of Fastrac Markets, LLC, in Canastota, NY; Joe Stark, President and CEO of Top Star, Inc., in Emmaus, PA; and Don Stephenson, President of Cary Oil Company, Inc., in Cary, NC.

The committee also re-nominated the following officers: Paul Reid, President of Reid Petroleum Corp. in Lockport, NY, for SIGMA President; Carl Boyett, CEO of Boyett Petroleum in Modesto, CA for SIGMA First Vice President; Frank P. Greinke, CEO of SC Fuels in Orange, CA, for SIGMA Second Vice President; and Jack Pester, Chairman of Pester Marketing Co. in Houston, TX, for SIGMA Secretary-Treasurer.

The Board of Directors will be confirmed by a membership vote at the Annual Business Meeting in Boston, MA, on October 14, 2007.

William S. Shipley, III, Chairman and CEO, Shipley Group, LLC, in York, PA, will continue to serve as SIGMA’s Immediate Past-President. Other continuing Board members include: Bryan Beaver, Chairman & CEO of CarterEnergy Corporation in Overland Park, KS; Richard L. Calhoun, VP Petroleum Supply and Trading, QuikTrip Corporation; Charley Jones, President of Stinker Stations in Boise, ID; Gregory Love, President, Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores; Michael Newman, Executive Vice President, NOCO Energy Corp.; Rodney Smith, Treasurer, R.H. Smith Dist. Co., Inc.; Stewart Spinks, Chairman and CEO of the SPINX Company in Greenville, SC; and James B. Westgate, Co-President of WESCO, Inc. in Muskegon, MI.

Exiting Board of Director members include: Grady Chronister, President of Chronister Oil Company in Springfield, IL; David Collins, Vice President of Wilson Fuel Co., Ltd., in Halifax, NS, Canada; Tom Dwelle, General Partner of Nella Oil Company in Auburn, CA; and Tom Schmidt, Executive Chairman of the Board of U.S. Oil Co., Inc., in Combined Locks, WI.
