WASHINGTON March 31, 2008 The Society of Independent Gasoline Marketers of America (SIGMA) is pleased to announce that Tom Kloza, Chief Oil Analyst with Oil Price Information Service (OPIS), will be a keynote speaker at the 2008 SIGMA Spring Convention in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
Known for his no-nonsense, non-partisan comments on oil and gasoline in U.S. newspapers, Kloza has made an impression on the industry with his 28 years of experience with OPIS. He regularly addresses fuel price economics with college and universities as well as key petroleum associations. His active involvement in the oil and refining industry has lead him to be advisory board of Turner Mason & Co. and work with the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard University.
“SIGMA is devoted to the success of our members and our meetings,” said SIGMA Executive Vice President Kenneth A. Doyle. “Having Tom Kloza as a keynote speaker only proves our desire to involve first class speakers.”
Kloza will address how to survive the last six months of 2008 in regards to the oil industry and how future projects may affect the supply as well as pricing of oil in 2009 at the Business Meeting & General Session during SIGMA’s Spring Convention on Tuesday morning, May 20th.
The 2008 SIGMA Spring Convention will be held May 18-20 in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina at the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort and Spa. For registration and other information, call (703) 709-7000 or visit SIGMA’s web site at www.sigma.org.
