SIGMA NOMINATES NEW BOARD OF DIRECTOR MEMBERS
|
WASHINGTON, October 3, 2005 The Society of Independent Gasoline Marketers of America (SIGMA) Nominating Committee officially nominated four new Board of Director members to serve three-year terms including: Richard Calhoun, Vice President of Supply and Trading with QuikTrip Corporation in Tulsa, OK; Greg Love, President of Love’s Development Company with Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores, Inc. in Oklahoma City, OK; Michael Newman, Executive Vice President with NOCO Energy Corp. in Tonawanda, NY; and Rodney Smith, Treasurer of R.H. Smith Distributing Company, Inc. in Grandview, WA.
Officers nominated for a second, one-year term are: SIGMA President William S. Shipley, III, Chairman and CEO of Shipley Group, LLC, in York, PA; SIGMA First Vice President Paul Reid, President of Reid Petroleum Corp. in Lockport, NY; SIGMA Second Vice President Carl Boyett, CEO of Boyett Petroleum in Modesto, CA; and SIGMA Secretary-Treasurer Jack Pester, Chairman of Pester Marketing Co. in Houston, TX. Mike Ports, President of Ports Petroleum Co., Inc., in Wooster, OH, will continue to serve as SIGMA’s Immediate Past-President.
The new members and returning officers will be confirmed by a vote of the membership at the Annual Business Meeting in Philadelphia on October 23. Exiting Board of Director members include: Mark Hansen, Venture Fuels, LLC; William Sumrall, Sumrall Oil Services, Inc.; and Matthew Thornton, Thorntons, Inc.
