O’Donnell speaks about politics on television, the effects of rhetoric on a world audience, and the differences between campaigning and governing.
During the election year 2000, he was a contributing editor of New York Magazine with a column on national politics. From 1993 through 1995, he was the Democratic Chief of Staff of the United States Senate Committee on Finance. The Committee has jurisdiction over legislation involving taxation, international trade, health care, social security, Welfare, and other income security programs. A viewer, a voter, a policy driver. O’Donnell has also appeared on The Today Show, Good Morning America, Nightline, Charlie Rose, and many other programs. His lectures are exciting trips into the realm of politics on a global, televised stage. The power of media is growing, frames today’s candidate more than ever, and provides a pedestal from which political messages are broadcast. Lawrence O’Donnell, working from experience as a commentator, policy driver, and traditional voter, speaks as an authority on all three fronts.
