SIGMA Masters Program:
High Performing Private Firms
This tailored course will help you understand critical elements crucial to achieve success and growth in the petroleum industry. Taught by University of Virginia professor George Overstreet and by SIGMA member Stewart Spinks, this 2-day program will focus on understanding the need for financial discipline while balancing behavioral and emotional issues in the private firm environment. Attend this program and achieve the following goals: Consider the most fundamental leadership challenge in creating and sustaining high performing private firms: the behavioral overlay of business and private behavioral pressure points; Characterize problem solving as an activity best performed by a leader not alone, but with others who can contribute; Set the stage to discuss the role of leadership in high performing firms, the necessity for a disciplined approach to managing these firms; Clarify key principles of value creation and the relationship of financial and non-financial metrics in achieving value oriented private firm performance; Describe value relationships and underlying tools of analysis from multiple perspectives.
OPIS Fuel Management University
