SIGMA 2008 Spring Convention

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE

The Membership Committee is primarily responsible for new member recruitment and retention.  The Committee, working closely with staff, establishes goals and plans for new regular and associate member acquisition and retention.  
 
The Committee is responsible for:

  • Reviewing qualifications for membership.
  • Recommending approval of new members.
  • Reviewing all canceled members.
  • Determining the reason for members that cancelled.
  • Salvaging cancelled memberships when desirable.

The Committee oversees the Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and SIGMA’s Share Groups.  It also oversees the Strategic Partners Program.  Finally, the Membership Committee monitors policies relating to members and recommends needed changes to the Board of Directors.
